The Swine Flu

Here in Tennessee, just a few years ago, it seemed that it was second hand smoke that was killing people. So to remedy this deadly situation, smoking in a public building, restaurant, bar, etc…was completely outlawed. It’s seems ironic to me, that these same anti-smoking nazis fought hell and high water to stop smokers from “infecting” non-smokers with their deathly smoke, yet the swine flu breaks out, and it isn’t that big of a deal or much of a health concern to these same people. I bet if you asked most people, right now, which they would rather do, 1. Sit next to someone who smokes, or 2. Sit next to a person infected with a deadly virus, they would choose the former over the latter. I have one thing to say to all the people who helped ban me to the freezing out of doors in winter, and the blazing hot sun in the summer, and caused me to no longer be able to enjoy the simple pleasure of a cigarette with my beer, or an after dinner cigarette with my meal….”Enjoy your smoke free dinner and don’t forget to sample some of the Mexican quisine”, because if the second hand smoke don’t get you, salmonella or the Swine Flu will. And just a little tip to the cranially challenged people currently running our country, “SHUT DOWN THE BORDERS, AND PUT A HIATUS ON TRAVEL LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING!” I had quit smoking, but now I’m so nervous about dying from the Swine Flu, I may have to pick the habit back up. Thanks.
